The desire to have children is one of the strongest instincts that human beings have. It's right up there with the need for food, shelter, and social interaction -- all necessities for our survival. Yet a handful of kooks are trying to brainwash the rest of society into believing that having children is somehow evil and selfish. No other living thing behaves so irrationally, so unnaturally, and so contrary to its self-interest. Even the single-celled amoeba reproduces itself. People should be incentivized to have children and, even more importantly, to raise them to be decent, productive members of society. After all, such parents are providing an incredibly valuable service -- they are creating future tax payers and a future workforce. Somebody has to pay for social security and Medicare. How do these rabid, anti-child environmentalists think they will survive in their dotage if we all just decide to stop having children? And I'm not just talking about money for social security, although that's part of it, but I'm also talking about future caretakers, various suppliers, etc. No children means no future doctors, nurses, hospital staff, farmers, supermarket workers, truck drivers who bring the food to the supermarkets, and I can go on.
