What? I didn't even mention Kerry or Ohio, nor did the original post.

Is your response some kind of childish "you're just bitter" taunt?

Its funny that you only believe that people who blindly follow their chosen party's platform -- regardless of how that platform has been twisted and abused -- can be principled. You claim that anyone who votes "for the person" is intellectually dishonest, but is it not intellectually dishonest to vote for someone, such as George W Bush, who only pays lip service to his party platform?

You claim that Reagan Democrats in 1980 do not fall under the category of people you have contempt for because (you imagine) they were voting for Reagan out of contempt for Carter (and, you presume to proclaim, not due to Reagan's charisma, which you later spend time gushing over) and his disastrous policies which led to international contempt. Does it not follow, then, that it is OK under your worldview for voters to vote for Obama and against McCain to avoid four more years of the disastrous polices of the Bush administration, which McCain has recently embraced, and which have lead to a stagflating economy eerily similar to the hated Carter's - and international contempt far beyond anything Carter's administration ever came close to?

I can only assume that, given your rationale for approving of Reagan Democrats, intellectual honesty compels you to approve of Obama Republicans.

I wonder, given your firm principles, did you vote against Bush in 2004, given his demonstrated complete disregard for major tenets of the GOP such as fiscal responsibility and small government?
